Costume Rental & Purchase

Costume Rental — Included in Participation Fee

All costumes featured in our Beauty and the Beast showcase are studio-owned and are included in your dancer's participation fee as a rental. Costumes are the property of Leading Edge Academy of Dance and must remain at the studio. Costumes may not be taken home before or during the run of the show under any circumstances. Purchased costumes may be taken home after the final performance on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Families who would like to purchase their dancer's costume after the performance are welcome to do so. Please note that costume prices vary by class and will be communicated to you individually after you submit your interest. There is no payment required at this time. ALL DANCERS: Arrive with base foundation already applied!

  • Bold Red Lipstick & matching/slightly darker Lip Liner
  • Pink Blush
  • Gray/Brown Eyeshadow
  • Black Mascara
  • Heavy Black Eyeliner
  • Makeup Brushes and/or Sponge Applicators

Why Stage Makeup Matters

Wearing makeup helps bring out each dancer's facial expressions, which are a vital part of storytelling in dance. The bright stage lights can wash out natural features, so makeup ensures the audience can see every emotion from the first row to the very back of the theater.

Braided Hair Styles

Acceptable braided hair styles must be neat, secure, and performance-ready. Braids should be pinned up into a low bun with a middle part unless the costume specifically calls for a different style.

Nail Polish Reminder

All dancers must wear clear nail polish only. Colored, glitter, or gel nail polish is not permitted for the performance.
